Job Description:

We’re seeking a Corrosion Engineer to join the California operations of the world’s leader providing technological solutions to the food processing industry.

Ideally, this engineer would possess 5-10 years experience with manufacturing and support of capital equipment, be adept at solving complex engineering problems and challenges, and have excellent interpersonal skills as they’d work closely with customers to review installations and resolve associated issues.

This opportunity affords you to lend your knowledge and expertise in materials selection, failure analysis and corrosion mitigation to teams manufacturing and supporting food processing equipment worldwide, and to interact directly with a variety of internal and external customers. Plus, you’d be expected to establish and execute corrosion monitoring programs at customer sites, including lab analysis of corrosion coupons.

The Corrosion Engineer would also provide valuable equipment life assessments and trouble-shoot equipment failures in the field. Therefore, experience performing analysis with SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), EDS (Energy Dispersive spectroscopy), FTIR, and other techniques is required.

Hands-on experience evaluating water treatment chemicals for corrosion and microbiological control, and application of chemicals for non-corrosive equipment cleaning is essential too. A degree in Corrosion Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering is required; knowledge of metallurgy is a plus.
