Job Description:

Sequence is seeking a Mid-Level Biologist to work on a portfolio of natural resource compliance projects related to energy (i.e. solar, wind, geothermal, transmission, etc.) throughout the California inland valleys and desert communities.

The ideal individual would have a minimum of 5+ years of direct biological consulting experience, participating in the development of the biological Sections for CEQA/NEPA documentation and regulatory permitting projects; which should have included developing wildlife survey’s, conducting habitat assessments, preparing biological impact analysis’s, and developing / negotiating biological monitoring plans for mitigation studies.

Candidates must have strong field and project management abilities as related to California endangered species, wetlands, and vegetation. Must have a demonstrated technical understanding of wildlife identification, ecology, survey methodologies, biological technical reporting for projects in the California desert communities and inland valleys. Must have experience directly related to desert species (desert tortoise, bats, and other related endangered species).

Requires a degree in Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related discipline. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, as well as, abilities to conduct / oversee field studies as needed.
