Job Description:

Sequence is seeking a Senior Biologist – Practice Group Leader who will be charged with leading the Biological Resources Practice Group in the State of Florida.

The ideal individual would have 8+ years of experience overseeing projects and providing technical guidance on various NEPA and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) compliance documentation. This includes overseeing research, data collection, field surveys, habitat assessment reports, schedules and scopes of work, training and client relations. Must have experience with Chapter 62-4 of the Florida Administrative Code and Sections 401, 402, and 404 of the Clean Water Act, threatened and endangered species regulations, and field mapping experience using advanced GPS equipment and digital cartographic skills.

As this is a senior leadership opportunity, the Practice Group Leader will also be charged with leading the business development and client relationship activities for the group throughout the state. Candidates must have exceptional business and regulatory contacts throughout the state and the capacity to generate business revenue for the division.

Requires a degree in Biology or a related discipline. MS degree desired. Excellent project management, staff mentoring and written/verbal communication skills required.
