Job Description:

Sequence is seeking an Urban and Regional Planner to lead urban planning and Infrastructure redevelopment activities throughout the county of Haiti.

The ideal individual would have at least 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing and monitoring urban / regional planning activities and reconstruction efforts for large communities and/or county redevelopment projects. Must have the abilities to provide urban planning technical guidance, develop feasibility assessments, design urban development programs, evaluate strategies, and implement long/short range planning actions for massive redevelopment.

Candidates must have previous experience managing multiple stakeholders, political interest groups, and developing strategies to redevelop a country after natural disasters. Preference will be given to individuals with previous natural disaster, urban planning redevelopment experience.

Requires a Bachelors degree in urban and regional planning, engineering or related discipline. MS preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

This is a two year term contract position, with the possibilities of extension to 5 years based on redevelopment needs. Candidates must be willing to live in Haiti for the duration of contract.
